    Central Library Renovation

Exciting news about the Central Library downtown!
On May 7, the construction phase of the Central Revitalization project begins. To prepare for construction, Central Library will be CLOSED on Saturday, May 7 and will resume regular hours on Monday, May 9. This temporary closure includes the passageway between Citi Plaza and Dundas Street. All London Public Library branch locations will be open regular hours on Saturday, May 7 and welcome you to visit!
During construction, you will need to use the Library’s elevators to access to the 2nd and 3rd floors of Central Library as work on the new stairs that will replace the escalators is underway. A temporary entrance to the 2nd floor from Citi Plaza will be available for use starting this summer.
Construction at the Central Library will continue for approximately 11 months and during this time staff will be working hard to keep Central Library’s collections and resources as available as possible.
Visit to stay up to date on the project and see construction alerts or call the library at 519-661-4600 with your questions.
