The Naughty Gypsy opens high end boutique in downtown London

The Naughty Gypsy, a London-based, high end clothier that caters to all shapes, sizes, and styles, is opening a flagship store in the downtown core. Located at 232 Dundas Street, in the basement of Renegade, The Naughty Gypsy Studio will cater to a wide array of fashion needs, in a new home conveniently located for its growing client base. The Studio will be by appointment only, and is celebrating its grand opening with an Open House on Saturday, May 28, from 12 to 5 pm.

Known for being an alternative seamstress and anti-fashion fashion consultant, The Naughty Gypsy believes that everyone should be comfortable in their own skin. The clothing that a person wears plays a big part in that, and therefore, the Studio will become a mecca for fashion statements that are done your way, no matter your gender, size, style, or kink.

The Naughty Gypsy Studio will offer custom sewing services, fashion consulting seminars and workshops, sewing lessons, and collaborative photos shoots with other local designers, photographers, and hair and makeup artists. Open houses and trunk sales will be held semi-annually, while regular business hours are by appointment only. All clients who book appointments at the Studio will receive complimentary refreshments, as well as a chart of their measurements to take home.

On Saturday, May 28, from 12 to 5 pm, the Naughty Gypsy will open the doors to its new location at 232 Dundas Street, in the basement of plus-sized clothing store Renegade. An Open House will be held, which is free to the public. All are welcome to see the new space, view samples of work, meet the team, discuss the services, and book appointments, as well as enjoy complimentary refreshments. Guests are welcome to enter for the chance to win a Naughty Gypsy gift basket valued at over $75.

Started in 2005 as the brainchild of seamstress and fashion artist Laura Hubbard, The Naughty Gypsy has expanded over the years to its current iteration, and is now moving to its own location. Owner and founder Hubbard, who also serves as an artist on the team, expressed her enthusiasm for this new venture:

“It’s rare for a seamstress to have a space like this to meet with clients; seamstresses mostly work out of his or her home, or go to the home of our clients, which isn’t always convenient or comfortable for either party. The Naughty Gypsy Studio will be a professional and personal office space tailored--no pun intended--to make clients feel comfortable during appointments. Renegade is an established business that has a similar mindset, of allowing its customers to express themselves through unique clothing at any size, which makes this new partnership even more exciting! This is a big step in the continued growth of The Naughty Gypsy, and we look forward to welcoming returning and new clients to this new space.”
