For over 10 years, world champion Elvis tribute artist, Thane Dunn has been selling out shows with "Elvis on Tour" all across Atlantic Canada. Now, for the first time, the Moncton native is bringing his popular production to the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario on Saturday, November 7th.
Winner of the Collingwood Elvis Festival and the coveted Collingwood Elvis Gospel Competition, Dunn has the uncanny ability to make audiences feel as if they're watching The King himself. With his amazing Elvis-like voice and natural physical resemblance, he has been referred to as “the full Elvis package”. He has all the right moves, but what makes his show even more convincing is his charismatic personality and Presley-like sense of humour. His hair and sideburns are real, and so is his voice.
Dunn's "Elvis on Tour" show includes timeless Presley hits from "Are you Lonesome Tonight" to Gospel classic, "How Great Thou Art". World renowned rock photographer, John Rowlands, who has photographed major stars from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Bowie, will open the show. In 1972, Rowlands was hired to photograph Elvis on tour, documenting 48 performances. He will speak of his adventures being on the road with The King, the infamous TCB band and Presley’s entourage. Rowlands is very charismatic and his stories of Rock ‘n’ Roll history leave audiences spellbound. He will also take pictures Dunn's performance as well as the pre-show meet and greet.
