Overview

Downtown London is in the process of developing a new Strategy and Implementation Plan (2021-2025).
The new strategy will build upon our past successes, provide a roadmap for our recovery and rebuilding efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic, and ensure that the organization undertakes initiatives and priorities that will lead to a vibrant downtown community.

Main areas for consideration as part of the Downtown London strategy will include:
-Demographic and Economic Analysis
-Best Practices and Trends
-Market Analysis
-Broad Community Engagement
-BIA Governance
-Detailed Analysis of Options and Strategic Priorities

The Strategy will establish Downtown London's goals, objectives, strategic actions, and performance measures with an accompanying implementation plan.

Timeline

Phase 1: Research and Analysis (Underway)
A background discussion report will provide a snapshot of the economic and demographic conditions in London's downtown and the surrounding City and identify issues for consideration in the strategy development.

Phase 2: Community Engagement (Underway)
Your thoughts, observations, and insights will help ensure the strategy reflects business and community needs and aspirations. Your input will help develop a plan that helps to support and build a vibrant, prosperous downtown.

Phase 3: Strategic Plan Development
This phase of the project will build upon the analysis and consultation combined with best practiced in downtown development to develop a strategy that will guide the downtown's future success.
