Social Media & Content Amplification Guidelines
Downtown London Business Association is committed to showcasing authentic downtown experiences while supporting our members, businesses, events, and community.
Our Mandate & Boundary
London Downtown Business Association is a community-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the heart of London, Ontario. We represent businesses and property owners within our boundaries, funded through a levy on commercial properties in the area.
Our main functions, as defined under Section 204 of the Municipal Act, 2001, are to:
- Enhance and maintain the public spaces in our area, going beyond what is typically provided by the municipality.
- Promote downtown London as a vibrant destination for business, shopping, dining, and culture.
Downtown London BIA promotes businesses, events, and initiatives within our official BIA boundary. We cannot promote organizations or events outside this area.

How to Get Featured
We love sharing what’s happening downtown! Getting featured is easy: Tag @DowntownLondon on Instagram or email info@downtownlondon.ca
Tagging allows our team to review your content quickly and share it with the widest downtown audience. While we can’t guarantee every post will be shared, tagging significantly increases visibility.
What We Amplify
We prioritize content that:
- Features businesses within the BIA boundary
- Promotes events taking place downtown
- Reflects authentic downtown experiences
- Aligns with Downtown London brand standards
- Accurately represents real spaces, products, and events
All reposts and collaborations are curated at the discretion of the Downtown London BIA Marketing and Communications team.
AI-Generated Visual Content
While AI tools are widely used, Downtown London BIA does not amplify content that is solely AI-generated, including:
- Fully AI-generated event posters
- AI-created illustrations as primary graphics
- Synthetic images representing real downtown spaces or events
Why this matters:
Authenticity is part of our brand and we want to ensure we showcase real businesses, real spaces and real experiences with clarity, transparency and trust. Downtown London is an arts district filled with studios, museums, galleries and home to a number of artists. We want to show our support for local creatives, from designers, photographers, and artists who contribute to our downtown community
AI may be used in a limited, assistive capacity if it is not the sole creator of the visual asset.
When We May Be Unable to Share
Submissions may not be shared due to it’s location is outside the BIA boundary, solely AI-generated primary visuals, misalignment with brand standards, capacity or scheduling limitations, and decisions that reflect our organizational guidelines.
