 Mastercard X Pier Five Small Business Fund

Access to funding is commonly cited as a major obstacle to success for women small business owners. Applications are now open for the Mastercard x Pier Five Small Business Fund, which provides women entrepreneurs in Canada with access to funding, resources and support to further grow and scale their businesses.

Until November 3, women entrepreneurs can apply to receive one of 10 $10,000 CAD grants and a Priceless experience in Toronto connecting them to valuable mentorship opportunities.

 Forest City Film Festival

The Forest City Film Festival returns to Downtown London with 97 films over 9 days, featuring a mix of international films and locally connected productions. Highlights include documentaries on homelessness, a celebration of the London music scene, and films showcased at prestigious festivals like TIFF and Cannes, all within the downtown core.

The 2024 Forest City Film Festival, running from October 19th to 27th, is expected to boost Downtown London’s economy by 30%, building on last year’s $350,000 impact. The festival continues to promote local businesses while showcasing London’s thriving film scene. Tickets and multi-film passes are available at fcff.ca.
