| Downtown London is transforming into a festive destination once again as Downtown for the Holidays, sponsored by London Hydro, returns with an expanded lineup of lights, markets, music, and family-friendly experiences. From late November through New Year’s Eve, the core will be filled with holiday sights, sounds, and celebrations.
Kickoff Celebration: Lighting of the Lights
❄️ Friday, December 5 | 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. | Victoria Park
The season begins with one of London’s most beloved traditions. Watch Victoria Park light up with more than 100,000 twinkling lights, larger-than-life displays, and a festive atmosphere for all ages. Enjoy live music from The Rockin’ Reindeer, a 360° photo booth, Santa’s mailbox, food trucks, and a complimentary hot cider sample courtesy of Farm Boy. The official lighting takes place at approximately 6:50 p.m. Victoria Park’s Winter Wonderland continues nightly until January 16, 2026.
See the Lights from Above
The City Hall Observation Deck will be open from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. on December 5, 6 – 7, 11 – 14, 18 – 21, and 26 – 28, offering a panoramic view of Victoria Park’s holiday displays.
Holly Jolly Holiday Market – Covent Garden Market
❄️ Fridays to Sundays | December 5 – 21
Continue the festivities at this annual market featuring artisan vendors, live entertainment, a Christmas cocktail garden, a Kids Craft Corner, workshops, horse-drawn carriage rides, and photos with Santa. The Market Square tree lighting takes place on December 5:00 at 7:45 p.m.
