LONDON, ON – The core to happiness is in the hour! Downtown London BIA is ringing in the summer season for office workers with Happy Hour London, a promotional campaign in partnership with Tourism London, Old East Village BIA, and London Economic Development Corporation to support bars, restaurants and cafes in London’s core area.

By staying in the core area after work to enjoy great deals on food and beverages, patrons have the opportunity each week to win $100 in Construction Dollars – vouchers that can be redeemed at several locations in the core area. Customers are encouraged to submit their receipt from a participating Happy Hour London establishment to be entered into a weekly draw. Every individual that enters a weekly draw is automatically eligible for the final Grand Prize, valued at $1,000!

“The great thing about the Happy Hour London campaign is that people already understand the concept — they just need to know where to go,” explains Barbara Maly, Executive Director of Downtown London. “Sharing all the fantastic locations offering special deals in the core will help customers find new destinations and rediscover old favourites. Our businesses are looking forward to seeing you!”

The Happy Hour London campaign will promote customer traffic to restaurants and cafes during the typical late-afternoon-early-dinner lull. It is also a great incentive for office workers to stay downtown a little longer after work, or enjoy team outings outside of the office.
